1. Before deletion
Save any copy you need outside the app and verify it opens. Account deletion irreversibly removes managed content and consumable credits, but limited anti-abuse and purchase facts remain for restoration and reconciliation as described below.
2. Delete in the app
Open Settings → Data Management → Delete Account, read the consequences, complete a fresh Sign in with Apple confirmation and keep the app online until success. If Apple or the server fails, local data and the existing session remain for a safe retry.
3. Deletion scope
After successful Apple revocation, the server revokes sessions and removes non-essential pending tasks, processing consents, follow-up merge data and consumable credits. The app deletes books, chapters, answers, drafts, jobs, photo and export records, referenced original/restored photos, PDF and DOCX files, and account-bound consent and entitlement caches. Language, text size and public configuration cache remain. External copies and system backups remain under your control.
4. Retention exceptions
Diagnostics are generally cleaned within 30 days and pseudonymous purchase, usage, reconciliation and dispute details within 24 months unless law or an active dispute requires longer. A non-reversible Apple-subject HMAC tombstone, minimum lifetime-Free grant fact, stable reconciliation code, and the minimum subscription and non-consumable purchase references may remain as necessary for anti-abuse, restoration, refunds and entitlement integrity. These records do not restore deleted content or consumable credits.
5. Subscriptions
Deleting the account, signing out or uninstalling does not cancel an Apple App Store subscription. Authorizing again with the same Apple Account and using Restore Purchases can restore an active subscription, the 20-book non-consumable purchase, and the same reconciliation code. Cancel automatic renewal in Apple subscription management only if you no longer want the subscription to renew. Refund requests go through Apple's Report a Problem process.
6. Assisted channel
If device loss, accessibility or a persistent technical failure prevents in-app deletion, contact 843459929@qq.com with minimal account-verification information. Do not email memoir content, photos, identity documents, passwords, codes or tokens.
